Welcome to - well, we can say that - our favourite continent. No other continent has touched us so deeply with its people, the friendliness, awesome nature, animals and so much more. And, how do we love the black humour, the sunsets
and the smile in the faces of so many people who are always ready for a good joke. We have seen other sides of Africa as well and just hope the best for this wonderful continent!
You like our pictures? Then we would be happy for a small coffee so that we can continue giving you a lot of nice content :-). TX!
Bahrein has never been on our list of destinations - but We (well, at least Nina) has been there twice already. Being in the middle east it is completely different to the southern part of Africa - but it still is the african continent. Nina's first visit was during a traineeship at a travel agency, our second visit (this time together) was due to a cancelled flight. We got stuck in the country for 52 hours - good thing: food and hotel was paid by the airline. We only have pics from our second visit.
Being on our RTW trip as backpackers, Botswana was the country we only visited for a short time. It simply is very expensive. We stayed a few days around the Okavango Delta close to Maun and went by public bus north to Kasana where we visited the Chobe National Park.
Only 5 days did we spend in this country on our way to Zanzibar. We did not get a longer visa on the green border coming by foot from Zambia. It was an intense time, difficult but somehow touching us deeply. 5 days with a deep impact on us. We stayed in Lilongwe, Nkhata Bay and Mzuzu before we left by minibus for Tansania.
We have visited this country twice so far. Pictures cover the following regions: Windhoek, Keetmanshoop, Lüderitz, Fish River Canyon, Namib Rand Nature Reserve, Sossusvlei/Sesriem, Tsauchab, Swakopmund, Spitzkoppe, Palmwag, Epupa, Etosha, Caprivi
We love this country and have visited different regions so far in our 3 trips. This includes: Cape Town area, Garden Route, Drakensberg, Little Karoo, Big Karoo, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Johannesberg, Pretoria, Magaliesberg, Pilanesberg National Parc, Addo Elephant Parc, Golden Gate National Parc, Durban, North Coast
We came to Tansania over the green boarder from Malawi. From Mbeya we took the train to Dar Es Saalam and visited Zanzibar, the final stop on our 1-year-travel.
Zambia / Zimbabwe
The warm heart of Africa - so many friendly people! And what a stunning landscape. We travelled to Livingstone, Lusaka and South Luangwa National Parc. In Livingstone we crossed over the green frontier to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
